Profile

My name is Mokonuiarangi Smith, Moko for short. I am Maori of Te Arawa, Tainui and Takitumu tribal lines. I am a student of Inia Taylor and Croc Tatau. Currently I work helping to revive the old art forms of Tā Moko and Tā Tatau and in doing so, working solely with traditional hand tools for my tattooing, making me the only full time artist working with the hand tools in New Zealand.
